All deliveries shall comply in every respect to the requirements of the FD&C Act as amended and regulations promulgated thereunder.  In addition, the product shall comply with the following specifications:

 

General Description:  Coriander (Coriandrum sativum. L.) are globular (1/8” – 3/16”) yellowish-brown seeds.  It has a slight, fragrant and pleasant aromatic odor, with a taste similar to a lemon peel, sage combination.  Coriander is produced commercially in Romania, Turkey, U.S.A., Argentina and Canada.

The physical and chemical tests shall be performed according to the latest editions of AOAC or ASTA.

 

Storage:   Store in a cool, dry atmosphere to prevent the loss of the volatile fractions.

                   Aerobic Plate Count             100,000 count/g

                        Yeast and Mold                     500 count/g

                        Coliforms                               100 count /g

                        E. Coli                                                Negative in 11 grams

                        Salmonella                             Negative in 25 grams
