All deliveries shall comply in every respect to the requirements of the FD&C Act as amended and regulations promulgated thereunder.  In addition, the product shall comply with the following specifications:

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Anise Seeds (Pimpinella anisum, L.) are an annual herb of the parsley family, with greenish-gray to grayish-brown color, agreeable odor and a pleasant aromatic licorice-like flavor. Anise is commercially produced in Turkey, Spain and India.

The physical and chemical tests shall be performed according to the latest editions of AOAC or ASTA.

 

STORAGE:  Store in a cool, dry atmosphere to prevent the loss of these volatile fractions.
