Allspice is used in Jamaican jerk seasoning and in Jamaican soups, stews and curries. Allspice is also used in pickling spice, spiced tea mixes, cakes, cookies, and pies. Food producers use Allspice in ketchup, pickles and sausages.

Allspice, usually known as Pimento outside of the U.S.A. is a native of West Indies and Latin America. The flavor of Allspice can be a combination of Cinnamon, Nutmeg and Cloves. Allspice is produced in Jamaica, Guatemala, Honduras and Mexico. It has a dark reddish color and a strongly aromatic, pungent taste.
